POETRY - Single Cinema Seat

Single Cinema Seat

I am alone in my row
Two couples flank and mock me
But perched eloquently
in a squat like stance
is a mysterious figure.

A Lady.

A Fellow Single Cinema Seater.

Maybe I should meet her
or attempt to greet
someone as lonely as I

She may feel empty inside
she may even have died
and that is why

she's not moved in half an hour.
